I'm grabbing # 36, saving the best for last.
The Spectrum, in Philly, always a great place for the band.
Side 3 Dark Star>Morning Dew!
And perhaps the best filler ever He's Gone>The Other One>Wharf Rat from Boulder, a few weeks before.
One of the BEST 1972 Other One's played.

4 Disks of seminal music.

I certainly can't argue with 4, 8, 19, 22, or 36. But for me it would be 29: 5-19-77 and 5-21-77, with hidden tracks from 10-11-77. For one thing, you get more discs (6) than any other single DP. Beautiful versions of many first-set tunes, a great Scarlet>Fire, a sublime Comes a Time, and a glorious Playin' sandwich jam.

I'm with you here - DP 36. I just got it last year, and it's become my favorite show, by far.

Just about everything is played well, but the outstanding DS > Dew and the NFA > GDTRFB > NFA are the highlights for me. The TOO filler from 9/3 is huge as well.

Dicks Pick 2 will always have a special place in my heart. That nice warm Halloween Darkstar. I seemed to forget to mention that this show had the band as an amazing 5 piece Keith and no Donna.

That's a really tough call to make. I'd probably go with Vol. 4. It's got that amazing Dark Star, a fantastic Lovelight, and that 3rd disc I could listen to (sans drums)over and over again-I often do. 2/14/70 was one of my first tapes long ago.The Mason's Children and the Caution alone make it one of my faves.
